General Admission Requirements
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
- HND or First Degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Must satisfy the basic UTME requirements for the corresponding undergraduate programme.
Master’s Degree (Academic)
- Minimum of Second Class Upper Degree in a relevant field.
- Second Class Lower may be considered based on programme requirements.
- Additional criteria apply to specialised programmes such as MICT, M.Agric., Communication Studies, and Engineering.
Professional Master’s Programmes
- Acceptable Bachelor’s degree or HND with a PGD (Upper Credit).
- Relevant work experience or professional qualifications may provide an advantage.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
- Master’s degree from FUNAAB or any Senate-recognized institution.
- Some programmes may require a conversion examination for one-year Master’s degree holders.

Ph.D.
- Full-Time: 6–10 semesters
- Part-Time: 8–12 semesters
Master’s Programmes
- Full-Time: 4–8 semesters
- Part-Time: 8–12 semesters
Professional Masters
- Full-Time: 3–6 semesters

PGD
- Full-Time: 2–4 semesters
