Yaba College of Technology Releases New Instructions for 2025/2026 ND Full-Time Admission Processing

The Office of the Registrar at Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has released a fresh advisory to all applicants seeking National Diploma (ND) full-time admission for the 2025/2026 academic year. The notice outlines the mandatory steps every candidate must follow to ensure smooth admission processing.

All instructions come with strict deadlines, and applicants are strongly advised to comply early to avoid losing their admission opportunity.

Essential Instructions for ND Full-Time Applicants

The Registrar highlighted four major tasks every applicant must complete without fail:

  • Upload O’Level results on JAMB CAPS
  • Apply for change of course (if applicable) within the approved window
  • Accept any offered admission and print all required admission letters
  • Ensure name consistency on all credentials

Below is a breakdown of what each step involves.

1. Uploading O’Level Results on JAMB CAPS

All ND applicants must upload their O’Level results through a JAMB-accredited CBT centre.

After uploading:

  • Log into JAMB CAPS
  • Refresh your profile to verify that the result is showing correctly
  • Complete this process before 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, 23 November 2025

The college will begin processing admissions on Monday, 24 November 2025.
Candidates who fail to upload their results before the deadline will not be considered—even if they meet the cut-off marks.

2. Guidelines for Change of Course

The change-of-course window will run from:

Monday, 8 December to Wednesday, 10 December 2025

Important points to note:

  • Candidates must complete the application both on the YABATECH portal AND the JAMB portal
  • Applicants must meet the correct O’Level subject requirements for the new course
  • Applicants must also have the correct UTME subject combination for the selected programme
  • No extension of the deadline will be granted

Once the window closes, the school will not accept late requests.

3. Admission Acceptance and Printing of Letters

As soon as an admission offer appears on your JAMB CAPS dashboard, candidates must:

  1. Accept the admission immediately
  2. Print the JAMB admission letter
  3. Print both copies (institution and candidate) of the YABATECH admission letter

These documents will be required during online verification and during the physical screening exercise at the college.

4. Ensuring Name Consistency on All Documents

All applicants must ensure that the names on their documents are identical. This includes your:

  • JAMB profile
  • O’Level certificate or statement of result
  • Birth certificate or sworn affidavit
  • Any additional document presented during screening

Spelling errors, swapped names, or missing middle names may delay processing. The Registrar emphasized that non-compliance with any of the admission guidelines may result in forfeiture of admission.
