The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially announced that the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for its 2025 recruitment exercise will begin on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.
This was confirmed in a statement signed by Maj. Gen. A. M. Jibril (Rtd), the Secretary of the Board, on Tuesday.
According to the update, only shortlisted candidates who have been scheduled for the exam will be allowed to access the test portal.
Exam Supervision and Proctoring Measures
To ensure transparency and prevent malpractice, the CDCFIB CBT will be AI-proctored, meaning all activities during the test will be automatically monitored using artificial intelligence.
The system is designed to detect:
- Any form of cheating or third-party interference
- Switching between applications or browser tabs
- Use of unauthorized devices or mobile phones
Candidates are therefore strongly advised to comply with all examination guidelines to avoid disqualification.
Technical Requirements for the CDCFIB CBT
Applicants are expected to have the following before taking the test:
- Stable internet connection
- Steady power supply
- Compatible device (preferably a laptop or desktop computer)
While mobile phones and tablets can be used, the Board warns that incoming calls, app switching, or any form of interruption may trigger violation alerts, which could result in automatic disqualification.
Exam Access and Login Instructions
The CDCFIB recruitment portal will open 30 minutes before each scheduled exam session. Candidates must:
- Visit the official recruitment portal https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.
- Log in with their registered details during their selected exam window.
- Complete the photo verification process for identity confirmation.
- Remain in the virtual waiting room until the system automatically launches the exam at the scheduled time.
Candidates who experience temporary disconnections during the test can rejoin within the allotted time and continue from where they stopped.
Important Warning to Candidates
The Board emphasized that the system is fully automated and will detect any suspicious activity, including attempts to cheat or use multiple devices.
Violations such as:
- Multiple logins
- Background noise from other people
- Use of proxy test takers
will lead to immediate disqualification.
All candidates are therefore urged to maintain honesty, discipline, and focus throughout the examination.
