UNIBEN Extends Acceptance Fee Deadline to November 17, 2025

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has officially announced an extension of the acceptance fee payment deadline for newly admitted candidates for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to the university management, the new deadline for completing acceptance and clearance procedures is Sunday, November 17, 2025, instead of the previous November 10, 2025.

This extension gives all newly admitted students more time to finalize their acceptance process and secure their admission offer.

The acceptance process is a crucial step for every candidate offered provisional admission into UNIBEN. Candidates who fail to complete the process before the deadline risk forfeiting their admission slot.

The management therefore advises all admitted students to act promptly by visiting the UNIBEN official portal to confirm and accept their admission.

 Step-by-Step Guide to Complete UNIBEN Acceptance and Clearance

Follow the steps below to complete your UNIBEN acceptance process successfully:

  1. Visit the UNIBEN Portal:
    Go to www.uniben.edu and select the Login Menu.
  2. Log In:
    Enter your JAMB Registration Number as User ID and your password.
  3. Activate Your Student Account:
    Provide a valid personal email address to receive your Student ID and new password.
  4. Check Your Email:
    Retrieve your Student ID and password from your email, then log back into the portal.
  5. Access Student Portal:
    Once logged in, click on the Academics tab and select Clearance.
  6. Pay Acceptance Fee:
    Use the Bank Transfer option via REMITA to pay your acceptance fee.
      Note: Bank debit cards are currently unavailable for this payment.
  7. Verify Payment:
    After completing the payment, log out and log back in to confirm your updated payment status.
  8. Submit Clearance Form:
    Complete all required details in the Clearance Form carefully and submit for approval.
