The Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) has issued a detailed guideline for all newly admitted students of the School of Basic Studies (SBS) for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The management urges all admitted candidates to carefully follow the outlined procedures for registration, screening, and payment to ensure a smooth start to their academic journey.
Step-by-Step Guide for FUBK Basic Studies Admission 2025/2026
Step 1: Payment of Acceptance Fee
All newly admitted students must pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of ₦7,000 only through the FUBK SBS portal.
This payment confirms a student’s acceptance of the provisional admission offer into the School of Basic Studies.
Step 2: Screening Exercise
After payment, candidates are required to attend the physical screening exercise scheduled to hold at the School of Basic Studies premises, located at the University Take-Off Site, Birnin Kebbi–Jega Road.
Date: Monday, 3rd November 2025
Documents Required for Screening:
- Original O’Level Results (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB)
- Declaration of Age or Birth Certificate
- Indigene Certificate
Candidates must present original copies of all documents for verification.
Step 3: Payment of School Fees
Once screening is successfully completed, each student is to generate a Remita invoice and make payment of ₦58,000 as school fees.
This payment validates full registration and allows students to obtain their admission confirmation documents.
Step 4: Admission Confirmation
After completing all payments, students will receive an official Confirmation of Admission Letter along with a Student File from the SBS Administrative Office.
Step 5: Commencement of Lectures
Lectures for the 2025/2026 academic session are set to begin on Monday, 10th November 2025.
All students are expected to complete their registration and attend lectures promptly.
