The management of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU), Lapai, has officially announced the reopening of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening portal for candidates who were unable to complete their registration earlier. According to a circular signed by the University Registrar, Alhaji Idris Sale Kusherki, the portal will remain open from Saturday, October 25 to Thursday, October 31, 2025.
This reopening provides a final window for UTME and Direct Entry candidates who chose IBBU as their first choice institution during the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and could not complete their online screening before the previous closure.
Portal Reopening: Final Opportunity for Screening
The University emphasized that this is a final opportunity for affected applicants to complete their online screening and documentation on the school’s admission portal. Candidates are therefore advised to seize this extension period to avoid missing out, as the portal will not be reopened after the stated deadline.
The statement reads in part:
“All UTME and DE applicants who were unable to finalize their online Post-UTME/DE screening are hereby informed that the IBBU screening portal has been reopened from October 25 to October 31, 2025. Candidates are strongly advised to complete their process within this period, as there will be no further extensions.”
How to Complete the IBBU Post-UTME/DE Screening
Candidates who have not completed their screening are to log in to the official university portal:
www.ibbu.edu.ng
After logging in, applicants should:
- Click on the “2025/2026 Post-UTME/DE Screening” link.
- Enter their JAMB registration number to access their profile.
- Upload relevant credentials, including O’level results and Direct Entry qualifications.
- Verify the accuracy of their details before submission.
- Print out the confirmation slip as evidence of successful screening.
The University also reminded applicants to avoid unofficial websites or agents claiming to process screening forms on behalf of IBBU. All genuine transactions must be done through the official school portal only.
Important Reminder
The institution has made it clear that the portal will close permanently on October 31, 2025. No late applications or manual submissions will be entertained after the deadline.
Applicants are urged to take this directive seriously, as successful screening is a key step toward gaining admission into IBBU for the 2025/2026 academic session.
