The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has officially announced the final deadline for the closure of the 2025/2026 admission exercise. This update follows the resolution reached at the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Policy Meeting held with Vice Chancellors and other major stakeholders in the tertiary education sector.
According to the announcement released by the University’s Management, all admission activities for the current session will end on Friday, 31st October 2025.
Accept Admission Before Deadline: UNIBEN Warns Candidates
UNIBEN advised all candidates who have already been offered provisional admission into various faculties to:
Log in to their JAMB CAPS
Accept their admission offers immediately
Follow the necessary clearance and registration procedures
The University emphasized that failure to take action before the closing date will result in automatic forfeiture of the admission offer.
A Warm Welcome to Newly Admitted Students
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Edoba B. Omoregie, SAN, congratulated successful candidates who secured admission this year. He expressed the University’s readiness to welcome them as full undergraduates.
He further confirmed that the 2025/2026 Academic Session officially commences on Monday, 10th November 2025, when newly admitted 100-level students are expected to resume on campus.
