The College of Nursing Sciences, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH), has announced the commencement of its admission exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session, running from 21st August to 4th September 2025.
Programme Overview
The programme is a direct ND/HND in General Nursing Sciences, spanning four years (eight semesters). Upon completion, graduates will be awarded a Higher National Diploma (HND) in General Nursing, approved by the Nursing Council of Nigeria in collaboration with the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must have participated in the 2025 UTME and scored at least 150.
- Interested candidates who did not initially choose the college must apply through the JAMB Change of Institution and Course of Study portal and ensure their O’Level and UTME results are correctly uploaded and accepted.
- Candidates must possess five (5) O’Level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (WAEC/NECO) in not more than two sittings.
- NABTEB and NBATS equivalents are also accepted.

- Applicants must be between 16 and 24 years old.
